Ownership and Corporate Governance
HBG Holdings is a multi-jurisdiction, privately held investment firm with prominent private and institutional shareholders from the GCC region. In addition, a major equity component is held by the firm’s management team. The corporate structure of HBG, its organization, rewards and incentive programs and management accountability have been defined in such a way that ensure good governance. The firm’s investment structures are determined in accordance with the regulatory environment and tax effects of the relevant jurisdiction.
HBG’s Board of Directors is comprised of core investors, the managing partners and independent members. The Board provides strategic direction for the firm while investment decisions are made by a five-member Executive Committee which reviews and approves all direct and fund of fund investments.
Day-to-day management including the screening and analysis of investment opportunities is the responsibility of the management team and its team of investment advisors who support the decision-making process and structure transactions.
The firm’s current capitalization is sufficient to enable it to commit a substantial amount of capital, as principal, on investment opportunities. In addition, the firm has access to third party capital from its client base.
HBG Holdings is the trade name used to describe HBG Investment Holdings Limited as well as all entities in which it has substantial economic interests including its principal asset-owning and other wholly owned significant subsidiaries.
